I was building an Android app using PhoneGap, but couldn’t get it to build. It was failing to build the Java stuff because the path to the SDK was wrong.
I kept getting error:
framework/build.xml:49: taskdef class com.android.ant.SetupTask cannot be found
It’s because my
PATH environment variable was wrong. Specifically, it had trailing slashes.
This was on Ubuntu/Linux.

Did the path have a double slash like:
Do you have a path in there to the Android SDK
tools directory which ends with a slash? Get rid of that slash and try again. You’re welcome.
